These are the very clever men who offer not to throw anything away, give advice on bones, to grind the shells from eggs and use them for food. Like a source of calcium.

I confess that my eye twitches from such advice. Because a person should get calcium from food, and not from food waste. I know adherents of the theory that it is better to crack eggs with shells, nod towards the chickens - they say, they peck the shells and not only, because they lay strong eggs, which indicates the abundance of calcium in the body.

But excuse me - excuse me, a chicken and a man are two completely different organisms, they have different processes, they produce different enzymes and different hormones. Otherwise, human doctors would be able to treat chickens and vice versa.

What is good for the chicken may not be good for the human at all.

Calcium is well absorbed in the chelated form (about 70%), and in the ionic form it forms stones in the kidneys, gallbladder, etc. In addition, the absorption of calcium is influenced by the content of magnesium, phosphorus and vitamin D.

If you read laziness, then the sources of calcium are known to everyone - milk and dairy products, well, and those who do not really like them (or do not tolerate) some green vegetables (broccoli), nuts, calcium-precipitated bean curd, beans, horseradish, parsley, onions, apricots and dried apricots, apples, dried peaches, pears, sweet almond.

But nutritionists do not mention eggshells anywhere.
