The father-in-law brought from work the cakes that his partner had given him and decided to put them on the New Year's table. When I saw these cakes, I had to forbid eating them.
I celebrated this New Year visiting my wife's parents. The table was richly set with dishes prepared by the mother-in-law herself. I made a Napoleon cake for dessert for a festive dinner.
When it was time for desserts, I began to cut the cake, and my father-in-law took the cakes out of the refrigerator. He decided to show me what sweets his work partner gave him. While I was busy with the cake, he began to lay them out on the platter.
When I looked at the dish, I was a little horrified. Cupcakes were staring at me, brightly decorated with colorful frosting. I don't see anything wrong with dyes, but I myself try not to use it unnecessarily.
I do not know what they are made of and how they behave in the body, so I only use them when the customer requests. In other cases, the color can be created using natural ingredients. For example, dried raspberries and mangoes produce vibrant colors. But I digress, back to the cakes.
The cakes looked very colorful, and when I took a closer look, I realized that it should not be eaten. The cakes were covered with a protein glaze, to which the unfortunate pastry chef had added so much dye that my fingers even got stained when I took one in my hands to take a closer look.
When I showed my fingers to my father-in-law, he realized that I was not lying and quickly put everything in the box. At that moment, his son Dima entered the kitchen and confirmed my fears. He and his father work together and he also received such a gift from this partner. Dima's son ate a couple of these cupcakes without parental permission.
And the next day already pooped with colored kakami, forgive me for the details. After such a story, they decided to throw out the cupcakes, but I took them for myself to take some photos for the blog.
I must say, while I was photographing, I managed to get smeared with paints again. Once again I was convinced that it is necessary to work carefully with dyes and know when to stop. The pastry chef who made these cupcakes doesn't seem to have tasted their desserts yet, or thinks pooping a rainbow is fun.
