To write a review, I tried 8 different types of ice cream, and spent only 114 rubles. I show what kind of ice cream I managed to find.
Over the summer I tried a lot of ice cream and noticed that products with milk fat substitutes almost disappeared from the shelves. I decided to check if this was true and went on a raid on supermarkets.
In this review, I will not describe the ice cream flavor in detail. In the end, I will only tell you which one I liked the most. I got too many photos, so I collected them in galleries. Scroll to the side to see all photos.
First of all, on the advice of readers in instagram, I went to the traffic light. Most of the readers have assured me that super cheap products can be found there.
The traffic light is, of course, a weird store, and the food is weird too, but really cheap. I was primarily interested in ice cream, but here his choice was not great.
By the way, if you want a review on sweets from the Traffic Light store, let me know in the comments, I will definitely tell you. There are many interesting things there.
The cheapest ice cream in the traffic light is Orange ice. Only it doesn't smell like orange, or rather the opposite, if you look at the composition, you can see that, apart from the flavoring, there is nothing more orange here. By the way, the composition is more or less normal.
Then I went to Pyaterochka and was disappointed. I couldn't find any cheap ice cream there. Everything that is presented in the window costs over 40 rubles and has a tolerable composition.
Dixie disappointed me too, the cheapest ice cream is popsicles. At first I decided that ice cream under my own brand would be even cheaper (I couldn't find a price tag), but at the checkout it turned out that the price was 35 rubles. The composition is good.
I was already glad that the manufacturers decided to give up cheap ice cream with milk fat substitutes, but I was happy ahead of time.
4When I went to Magnit, I found a whole storehouse there, or rather an ice cream freezer with low prices. The cheapest cost me 6.99 rubles. This is a waffle cup made especially for the Magnet network.
All the cheap ice cream turned out to be Magnit's own brand. The composition is almost the same everywhere, except for the horn. Vegetable oils (palm, sunflower, soybean and palm kernel) are used as a substitute for milk fat.
But what surprised me most was the ice cream in Verny. The cheapest cost 7 rubles. Its composition is poor, but it looks even worse if you open it. I don't even know how to describe it.
I also took ice cream from Talosto for 10 rubles for a sample, and inside it looks one to one, like ice cream for 7.
It seems that the storage conditions were simply violated in Verny. Time to sum up.
I am amazed that in 2020 there are still manufacturers who are ready to do anything to make ice cream at the lowest possible price. There is something I would not recommend.
Returning to taste. I'm not ready to say that some kind of ice cream is delicious here. The only ice cream that I did not send to the trash after the tasting was Dixie ice cream for 35 rubles, but for that kind of money, you can pick up something tastier.
Do you think it is possible to eat such cheap ice cream?
