A simple recipe for incredibly delicious gingerbread. No complicated ingredients are required for cooking, and you can knead the dough with a simple spatula.
I have never seen such a quick recipe for gingerbread. More often than not, making something with a quick recipe won't turn out very tasty. But this is clearly not the case. I suggest not delaying the introduction and moving on to cooking.
Step-by-step recipe on how to make chocolate gingerbread in 20 minutes
- Milk 100 g
- Flour 175 g
- Sugar 100 g
- Cocoa 25 g
- Vegetable oil 20 g
- Baking powder 8 g
- A pinch of salt
The milk needs to be hot to knead the dough, so I put it in the microwave for 1 minute. You can also heat it up on the stove, but you don't need to boil it.
Mix a third of the flour with hot milk and sugar until smooth. The mass will turn out to be liquid, as it should be.
Add vegetable oil and mix.
I add salt to the liquid mass in a container, and then sift all dry ingredients, including the remaining flour. Stir the mixture until fully combined. The dough should be thick.
I transfer the dough to a table dusted with flour and roll it out into a layer about 1 cm thick. It can be thinner, but then the gingerbread will look like cookies.
Using special molds, I cut the gingerbread from the dough and put it on a baking sheet. You can spread it almost closely, since the gingerbread will increase in height, but not in width.
I collect the dough scraps into a ball, roll them out and repeat the procedure until the dough is finished. It all took me no more than 10 minutes.
The remaining 10 minutes were spent baking in an oven already preheated to 180 ° C. Everything, the gingerbread cookies are ready, but I suggest making them even tastier and covering them with glaze.
- Egg white 1 pc
- Powdered sugar 100 g
- Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
I beat all the ingredients for the glaze with a whisk until the “gloss” appears. You can use a mixer, it will be faster.
Using a brush, I cover the gingerbread cookies and leave them to dry on the wire rack. Here it will take more than 20 minutes. They dried for me for about 1.5 hours, but it all depends on the humidity in your room. Let's show what I did.
In some gingerbread cookies, I made holes before baking. After the glaze dries, I threaded a string and hung it on the Christmas tree. In my opinion, it looks very nice.
I wonder if the gingerbread on the tree will last until the New Year, what do you think?
