I recently talked about the Oreo cake, which I made from a store-bought mixture. In the comments to this article, I was asked to share a recipe so that such a cake can be made from scratch.
I went into the process thoroughly and first made the Oreo cookies and then made a cake out of them. But, if you are too lazy to cook cookies, you can use a purchased one. Remove the filling just before cooking.
Step by step recipe on how to make Oreo cake
Dough
- Butter 110 g
- Sugar 100 g
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- Eggs 1 pc
- Flour 125 g
- Cocoa 75 g
- Soda ¼ teaspoons
If you cook with purchased cookies
- Oreo cookies 250 g
- Milk 50 g
Beat butter with sugar until creamy, add eggs and stir.
I add salt, sift flour, cocoa and soda and stir until smooth. I wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
I roll out the dough into a layer and bake for 20 minutes at 160 ° C. Then I break the cookie sheet and dry for 20 minutes at 130 ° C in convection mode.
I punch it into crumbs in a blender.
I add a little milk or melted butter to half of the crumbs, mix, put on the bottom of the mold and tamp.
Cream
- Cream 350 g
- Gelatin 10 g
- Powdered sugar 40 g
I soak gelatin in cold water and let it swell. I am using sheetfed. If using powdered gelatin, fill with water according to the proportion in the instructions on the package.
Beat the cream with powdered sugar until stable peaks.
I melt the gelatin in the microwave in pulses of 10 seconds, it took me 20 seconds.
I add a small amount of cream to the gelatin and mix. Then I send the mass to the cream and mix until smooth.
Pour the cream into a mold and smooth with a spatula. Sprinkle on top with the remains of sand crumbs and put them in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to stabilize the cream.
