I would never have thought that someone could surpass B.Yu. Alexandrov. But recently I discovered “curd bars” in VkusVilla at 130 rubles apiece. Understanding if they are worth the money?
I love trying new things, especially sweet ones. Every time I visit the store, I examine the shelves with desserts. Recently I went to VkusVill and saw a price tag of 130 rubles on a shelf with curd snacks.
Yes, of course, in VkusVilla most of the products are overpriced, but I didn't expect that. I could not resist and took it for a sample. And when I came home and began to study the box, it turned out that it was not cheese at all.
Judging by the packaging, I bought bars instead of curd bars. True, their packaging is very similar to how premium curds are now packaged. Almost the entire surface of the box is occupied with information about how useful the bar is. No sugar, vegans, raw foodists and kids alright. I wonder what the composition of these bars is.
The composition of the bars is good. True, one ingredient raised my question - the evaporated cane juice. As for me, these are beautiful words that hide sugar. After studying the question on the Internet, my guess was confirmed. In the United States, manufacturers were even advised not to use this term, as it hides the fact that evaporated cane juice is sugar.
Bars are produced by Food Revolution LLC, I have not heard of such a manufacturer before, it will be necessary to study their products at leisure. Well, now let's see what's inside the package.
The bars don't look good. Sparsely sprinkled with crushed peanuts or coconut on top. Compared to the picture on the package, you get the feeling that you were deceived. I hope the taste doesn't disappoint.
But it looks like I was hoping in vain. The coconut bar is quite tasty, but I didn't like the caramel peanut bar. It tastes vaguely like snickers, but without nougat. Time to sum up.
The bars, which, due to their packaging and location in the store, I initially mistook for curd cakes, did not impress me. They have bright and beautiful packaging, but inside the bars look faded. At a cost of 130 rubles apiece, something more interesting and beautiful could be done.
How do you feel about products that are made only with herbal ingredients?
