My mixer was given to me 5 years ago. I didn’t have the opportunity to choose, so I use what I donated. The mixer is cool and it serves me faithfully, but some moments in it enrage me.

If I were now choosing a mixer myself, I would pay attention to the following points.

Whisk quality

The whisk is one of the most important attachments in a mixer. It is with him that you have to work most often. Therefore, it is important that it is made with high quality. My whisk is well made, but some of my friends broke them.

And it would be fine if the whisk broke and can be replaced. Some manufacturers do not provide this option. In this case, you will have to look for handy craftsmen who can fix it.

Bowl position

You cannot change the level of the bowl in my mixer. When I need to beat a small amount of food, for example 1 egg, I have to lift the bowl with your hands and hold until it beats to the desired state, because the whisk does not reach the bottom bowls.

This moment is very annoying, sometimes even infuriating. After all, this is a stationary mixer, where you put the whisk and go to do other things. But it doesn't always work in my mixer.

Noise level

My mixer makes quite a lot of noise when running. Although I have met louder models. Previously, I didn't really care, but now that my son was born, I don't want to make noise with a mixer during his sleep.

Mechanism reliability

I work a lot with my mixer and for 5 years it has never let me down. Once I took it to the shop and whipped it for about 4 hours almost without stopping. The mixer warmed up, but continued to work.

Some mixers use plastic parts that can deform or melt when heated. You can find out about this only from reviews or disassemble the mixer, although there is hardly such an opportunity in the store.

What is the bottom line. Although my mixer is noisy and not suitable for small quantities of ingredients, it still makes me happy its reliability and quality, and also the fact that you can leave it to work, and do something yourself at this time other.

P.S. I forgot to mention that my mixer bowl has a fairly large volume (5 liters). This allows me to mix large quantities of food at once.
