I went to Vkusville to buy some curd cheese. I check the expiration date and stumble upon the fact that the manufacturer is RosAgroComplex. And this, by the way, is the same manufacturer that makes the curd cakes "B.Yu. Aleksandrov".
It became interesting if there is a difference between the products that the manufacturer makes for Vkusville and for his brand. So I bought 5 different products in Vkusville and tried to find original products from the same manufacturers in regular supermarkets. The result surprised me.
Vkusville health food chain does not produce anything by itself. When they first opened, they bought products from small companies and it was impossible to find such products in other stores.
Now the Vkusville network has grown. And so that customers did not go to other stores and buy everything from them, Vkusville had to introduce many new products. And over time, the store turned into an almost ordinary supermarket, only with “own brands”.
I was amazed that the same products bought in Vkusville and in a regular store have completely different shelf life. Moreover, Vkusville has a shorter shelf life.
This is most likely an advertising gimmick. Like, we have everything from natural, so the shelf life is short. But, apparently, manufacturers specifically for Vkusvilla underestimate the shelf life. Let's check if there is a difference between Vkusville products and the original brands.
There will be many photos in the review, so I made a separate photo gallery for each product. Scroll to the side to view all photos.
Cheesecake
I did not expect to meet B.Yu. cheese curds in Vkusville. Alexandrov. But that's not the funniest thing. It turned out that with the same composition and technical manufacturing conditions curd cheeses from Vkusvilla are stored almost two times less.
Greek yoghurt
The composition and all technical conditions are completely identical. But after getting into Vkusville, the shelf life for some reason was reduced by 5 times.
Oat cookies
Both cookies are produced at the same Polyot factory. The only difference is the presence of butter in the Vkusvilla cookies. But the difference in shelf life is 1 month. There are no questions here, after all, the composition is different.
Kozinaki
The composition of the kozinak is the same. Only the technical manufacturing conditions differ. And here is a rare case when Vkusville has a shelf life longer than the original brand. Mysterious situation.
Halva
I could not find halva in its original packaging in the nearest stores, so I looked on the Internet. It turned out that halva from Vkusville is no different from the usual one, even the packaging is the same. But the shelf life has decreased from 8 to 5 months. It's time to take stock.
Vkusville's approach to expiration date is interesting. I have always treated this store neutrally and did not idolize it like my mother. But now I will carefully consider all the information on the label when buying in Vkusville.
Do you think Vkusville really has more natural products?
