Surprisingly, not everyone knows how beautiful it is to cut tangerines on a festive table, preferring the classic version of peeling citrus fruits from the peel and separating the slices from one another. Of course, you can simply cut each fruit into rings - serving with the skin looks more spectacular and appetizing, and the aroma is extraordinary. But today we are going to show you another way to create a colorful presentation that few people know about.

Thanks to this cutting, bright flowers are obtained from tangerines. You can place them on a cheese plate, decorate salads with them or decorate fruit platter.

To get exactly the fruit flowers, choose tangerines with an airy peel, rather than a dense one. Such, in addition to the fact that their peel is perfectly cut without touching the fruit itself, also has an excellent, sweet taste - you can check it out. Buy both options and battle it out! ;)

So, back to our life hack ...

1) Buy as many tangerines as you need for decoration - in the pre-New Year's time there are a lot of such fruits on the shelves of supermarkets, shops and wholesale markets.

2) Choose the sharpest knife. Place the tangerines on a plate or board. Pour boiling water over each of them. This should be done for 10 seconds. The citrus fruits need to be scalded, not scalded, to make the peel more aromatic. Then, dip each fruit with a paper towel. After water procedures, make longitudinal cuts on each fruit, being careful not to touch the inside of the fruit. Do not cut at the bottom or peel the citrus fruit - you only need to cut at the top and length.

3) Next, carefully open the rind of each fruit, like a flower. Take your time - it's easy and simple. Remove the white layer of fibers from the surface of the tangerines.

4) Bend each peel petal under the fruit and press down slightly, but without fanaticism, so as not to break. Your mandarin flower is completely ready.

5) Create flowers from the rest of the fruits in the same way. You can experiment with the thickness of the rind petals.

Cut a few fruits into slices before serving. You can peel a part and put the slices on a dish. Place any rounded berries in tangerine flowers and serve all fruit slices to the table. Do not cook it in advance, so as not to weather it.
