For the daily diet, one of the most satisfying and nutritious dishes is meatballs with rice in tomato sauce. Prepared from different types of minced meat: chicken, beef, pork, lamb, mixed. Serve on their own with fresh vegetables and lettuce or with a side dish of cereals, pasta, mashed potatoes.

Boil and cool white rice in advance - it will take less time for the gravy itself with meatballs. Simmer under a lid on an overhead fire or send to the oven - both give excellent results.

Ingredients:

Minced meat - 500 g

Rice - 100 g

Egg - 1 pc.

Garlic - 3 teeth.

Onions - 1 pc.

Tomato paste - 50 g

Flour - 50 g

Vegetable oil - 30 ml

Salt, black pepper, bay leaf - to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To cook meatballs with rice at home, take the products from the indicated list. You can expand the set of seasonings as you wish, for example, add spicy coriander or scalding chili. For traditional tastes, I recommend using a standard set of salt, black pepper and bay leaf. For juiciness, mouth-watering aroma and meatiness, choose a mixed minced pork and beef in equal proportions.

Step 2 - Combine minced meat, pre-boiled and cooled rice, chopped chives and onions in one container. Beat in an egg, salt and pepper - mix the layers thoroughly from bottom to top to evenly distribute the spices and all the ingredients. Fight back slightly by tossing from palm to palm. Thus, the plasticity of the fibers will increase, molding will be easier and the meatballs will not fall apart during cooking.

Step 3 - Roll up balls of the desired size with wet or slightly oiled hands, sprinkle with flour on all sides.

Step 4 - The semi-finished meatballs sprinkled with a flour layer are frozen if necessary.

Step 5 - Before stewing, fry the workpieces with the addition of vegetable oil until golden brown.

Step 6 - Transfer the rice and meat balls from the top to an ovenproof dish in one layer, fill hot tomato sauce (for this, dilute tomato paste in 200 ml of boiling water, season with salt and pepper). Throw in the bay leaf, a couple of cloves of garlic. Place in a hot oven for 25-30 minutes, keep at 180 degrees.

Step 7 - Serve the delicious minced meatballs with tomato gravy hot or reheated.
