Preparation:

2. Place the fish on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut off the ribs and fin bones, if any.

3. In a small bowl, mix high-quality salt and granulated sugar; ready-made salted red fish is most delicious when these ingredients are used in a 1 to 1 ratio. Sugar not only adds flavor, but also serves as a preservative.

4. Sprinkle a piece of salmon with salt and sugar.

5. Spread the salt and sugar evenly all over the fish, remember to sprinkle on the sides and skin.

6. Next, we need strong alcohol such as cognac, vodka or whiskey, it will kill germs and with it the fillet of the finished fish will become glossy. Cover the neck of the bottle with your thumb, leaving a small hole, sprinkle a piece of fish.

7. Now it remains to cover the bowl with salted salmon with cling film and put it in the refrigerator to salt for a day.

8. After a day, remove the fillet from the salt, rinse under running water, dry with paper towels.

9. Red salted fish at home is ready. Cut it into thin slices, make your favorite sandwiches, burgers or sandwiches and enjoy! The perfect combination of red fish with curd cheese and crispy lettuce.
