Many people know the recipe for French meat - an appetizing and hearty dish for a large company. If you need a smaller portion or there is no roomy heat-resistant container, bake the chicken chops with tomatoes and cheese on a sheet of foil using the same principle. Convenient, tasty and worthy of a festive event.

If desired, the chicken breast is replaced with turkey, pork, beef, other meat, tomatoes are supplemented with onions, zucchini, eggplants.

Ingredients:

Chicken fillet - 400 g

Tomatoes - 1-2 pcs.

Hard cheese - 80 g

Mayonnaise - 50 g

Salt, black pepper - to taste

Fresh herbs - for serving

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - Let's take the products from the list. Boneless chicken breasts are best chosen fresh, chilled. But if you got only frozen ones, transfer them from the freezer to the refrigerator shelf in advance and thaw slowly (it is convenient to move them the night before and bake the next day). By speeding up the defrosting process with water, especially hot water, we destroy meat fibers, reduce juiciness and worsen the final taste of the dish.

Step 2 - Wash the meat, wipe it off with a paper napkin, cut off unnecessary fat layers and hard films - slightly beat off under the film. The workpieces should not be made too flat, transparent, a meaty chop is much tastier.

Step 3 - Lay the foil on a baking sheet or in a frying pan, grease with any refined lean oil. We transfer the bird, cover with a thick layer of mayonnaise, sprinkle with salt and ground hot pepper.

Step 4 - Chop the clean tomatoes into thin circles or slices and place a little overlap on top of the chicken. You can also add other vegetables right there. Top with drops of mayonnaise for added juiciness. If necessary, season with spices again.

Step 5 - The final touch - cover with chunks of hard cheese. Sometimes it is rubbed with shavings and also sprinkled with semi-finished products. With a dome, throw in another sheet of foil (or parchment), without pressing, so as not to damage the cheese layer, and put it in the oven, which is hot by that time. We bake for about 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees. For rich charring, keep under the grill for the last few minutes.

Step 6 - Serve hot chicken chops with tomatoes under melted cheese crust, with fresh herbs, salads, pickles, sauces.
