One of the traditional milk soups - with white rice - a simple, tasty and satisfying dish for children and adults.

In order not to get confused with the exact dosage of products, measure with a glass. For one glass of rice there are four of the same with liquid (as a rule, water and milk are taken in proportions of 1: 3). Season with salt, sugar and butter in random order.

For accelerated cooking of the soup itself, the rice is pre-soaked in water. Within an hour, the grains swell enough, fill with moisture and boil very quickly. With this method of preparation, the risk of burning is reduced, and there is no need to constantly interfere: it is enough to run a spoon in a circle a couple of times.

Ingredients:

Milk - 3 tbsp.

Water - 1 tbsp.

Rice - 1 tbsp.

Sugar - 30 g

Salt - 3 g

Butter - 30 g

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - Prepare and measure out the required amount of food for boiling milk soup with rice. If you want to additionally flavor - add vanilla sugar, ground cinnamon or other spices. Many people eat salty soup, without sweetness - in this version, herbs, cheese, granular cottage cheese are appropriate when serving.

Step 2 - Rinse white rice thoroughly in several cold waters - change the cloudy liquid to a transparent one. We leave the washed grains in a bowl that does not oxidize, fill in about 300 ml of clean cold water and keep at room temperature for 1 hour. If time permits, leave to swell longer - it will cook faster.

Step 3 - Drain the water from the bowl, and transfer the wet rice to a thick-bottomed saucepan. Next, pour in one glass of water and bring to a boil over the top heat of the stove.

Step 4 - After active boiling, reduce the temperature and cook with moderate boiling until the water is almost completely evaporated (about 10-15 minutes). Sometimes we stir, separate the adhering grains from the walls and bottom.

Step 5 - Add three glasses of milk, salt and add granulated sugar. Increase the heat, stir occasionally and boil. In fact, the dish only needs to boil. During this rather short period, the crystals of the salt-sugar have time to dissolve, and the rice comes to full readiness.

Step 6 - After boiling, remove from heat, lower a portion of butter, leave for a couple of minutes and pour into plates.

Step 7 - Serve milk soup with warm rice, toast or slices of fresh bread. Bon Appetit!
