Oatmeal pancakes with banana are baked both in vegetable oil and in a hot frying pan without adding fat: like “velvet” pancakes. Often, the crushed flakes are mixed in half with wheat flour, thereby reducing the oat flavor and lightening the characteristic dark color.

If there are remnants of uneaten oatmeal porridge in the bins, feel free to re-process it. Remember also that a ripe banana can significantly reduce (and even completely eliminate) the amount of sugar in the dough.

Ingredients:

Oatmeal - 7 tbsp. l.

Banana - 1 pc.

Egg - 1 pc.

Kefir - 50 ml

Soda - 0.5 tsp.

Lemon juice - 1 tsp l.

Salt, sugar - to taste

Vegetable oil - 20 ml

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - When deciding to make your own oatmeal banana pancakes at home, take the foods listed. As with any similar pastry, season the dough with zest, vanilla or cinnamon if desired.

Step 2 - Grind dry plates until flour. You can partially leave the graininess - the pancakes will get texture. If there is no electrical unit at hand, use a meat grinder (scroll 1-2 times).

Step 3 - Add peeled and sliced ​​sweet banana to oatmeal, beat in an egg. Run the chopper again for half a minute to a minute. All these steps can be easily performed manually. It is easy to knead the banana pulp with a fork, and shake the egg. It is important to get a viscous gruel.

Step 4 - For convenience, transfer the wet banana-oatmeal to a working bowl, pour in kefir at room temperature. Add gradually, you may need a little more fermented milk drink or, conversely, less. The dough should be thick, sticky and stringy. Throw in salt and sugar. Quench the baking soda with lemon juice or vinegar - vigorously mix the bubbling soda mixture with the dough. In addition to slaked soda, baking powder is suitable, and instead of kefir - unsweetened / natural yogurt, yogurt.

Step 5 - Bake banana oat pancakes on a heated surface with or without vegetable oil - spread over a tablespoon of dough, dried from below, turn over and hold until the other sets sides.

Step 6 - Serve warm banana oat pancakes for breakfast or afternoon tea, for example, under a layer of powdered sugar, with sour cream, honey, jam.
