There are many strange and unfounded myths about beer, reinforced by which, many refuse this drink, considering it harmful, "chemical", dangerous to health and beauty.
Myth 1. Real beer consists only of water, hops and malt
Some beer lovers, arguing this myth, cite the law "On the purity of beer", which was issued in 1516, as an argument. But for some reason they forget that this year the fight against waste due to severe hunger began. Therefore, no other ingredients were used - purely for reasons of economy.
Myth 2. The drink contains female hormones
Yes, hops contain phytoestrogens - a plant analogue of female hormones. But at the same time, its share is so small that it will not be possible to grow a female breast even with a strong desire, because about 200 g of hops are consumed on average per 100 liters of drink. It is also worth remembering that this substance is found in all legumes in much larger quantities.
Myth 3. Beer leads to fullness
This drink is low-calorie - there are much more calories in wine or ordinary soda. Another problem is that beer makes you appetite, which leads to weight gain as a result.
Myth 4. Alcohol is added to strong varieties
One of the most unfounded myths. Let's say right away that this is unnecessary waste, because raw materials are also needed to make alcohol. Beer undergoes a fermentation process, as a result of which beer ferments reach 12.5% alcohol, then die. However, there are also stronger varieties on sale - in this case, more resistant yeast varieties are used. The fermentation process in this case can take up to 1.5 years.
Myth 5. The drink contains dangerous preservatives and "chemicals"
Undoubtedly, in any beer you can find E1510 and E290 in the composition. These are ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide. These preservatives can be called real - they protect the drink from premature souring.
