The familiar and beloved by many curd casserole for breakfast or afternoon tea can look unusual if cooked in apple "pots". In this form, it becomes an original dessert, which can be supplemented, if desired, with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
If you do not use granulated sugar, then such apples are quite suitable for a diet menu. And this form of presentation will also help to control oneself so as not to eat an extra portion - this is from personal experience: two are many, but conscience does not allow cutting off from the second, although I really want to.
Ingredients:
Apples - 5 pcs.
Cottage cheese - 8 tbsp. l.
Sugar - 1 tbsp. l.
Raisins - 2 tbsp. l.
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Walnut - 2 tbsp l.
Preparation:
Step 1: Prepare the required ingredients. Apples should be dense and it is better to take sour or sweet and sour varieties. Depending on the size, 4-5 pieces are required.
Step 2: Rinse raisins (black or white) and walnut kernels and cut into small pieces. Cut large candied fruits into three parts, and medium-sized ones are enough in half.
Step 3: Add cottage cheese to the fruit-nut mixture and beat in the chicken egg. To stir thoroughly. Considering the sweetness of apples and raisins, and depending on personal taste preferences and family, add 1-2 tbsp. l. granulated sugar. No longer worth it, otherwise it will be cloying. Stir again.
Step 4: Wash the apples very thoroughly, as they will cook together with the peel. Now it is necessary to remove the core with seeds and part of the pulp from them to make pots for baking the curd mass. If there are no special gizmos, then it is convenient to use a teaspoon. Cut off the "cap" from the side of the stalk, but not very large in diameter, it is enough to ensure the penetration of the spoon. It is important to remove the contents of the apple carefully so as not to damage the "walls and bottom", the approximate thickness of which should be 0.5 cm. The pitted portion of the pulp can be cut into small pieces and added to the filling.
Step 5: Fill the resulting apple pots tightly with the prepared filling. Arrange them in a baking dish. It shouldn't be very loose, but with bumpers to keep the juice out.
Step 6: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the stuffed apples in it for 30-40 minutes. Cooking time depends on the characteristics of the technique and the hardness of the fruit. If desired, pour over the prepared baked fruit with the still hot juice, because it will gel when it cools.
Step 7: You can serve such a casserole as a dessert or as a main course in the company with a crust of freshly baked rolls.
Enjoy your meal! And let it be delicious for you!
