If you are pressed for time or do not want to tinker with a laborious dough, keep a bundle of the purchased one in stock. A puff semi-finished product is ideal for all kinds of baking. Snack tartlets, empty or filled croissant bagels, open and closed puffs, brittle sweet and savory sticks, rolls, simplified strudels, quiches and other cakes.
Ingredients:
Puff pastry - 400 g
Sugar - 50 g
Ground cinnamon - 15 g
Vegetable oil - 30 ml
Step by step recipe:
Step 1 - To make puff pastry cinnamon buns at home, take the foods listed. Oil - lean, corn, sunflower or other, is only needed for lubrication. You can replace it with water, melted creamy water of your choice. Cinnamon - ground, with a warm and sweetish aroma, does not need to be supplemented, it is saturated by itself and turns even the simplest buns into magic ones. Transfer the dough semi-finished product from the freezer to the refrigerator shelf, let it thaw or follow the instructions of a specific manufacturer.
Step 2 - For weightless, layered products, the defrosted dough is preferably not rolled out, leaving the original thickness. Carefully unfold the layer, cut strips of equal width-length.
Step 3 - Lubricate with a thin layer of refined oil or water. Grains of sugar with cinnamon are better attached to a wet surface.
Step 4 - Mix granulated sugar with ground cinnamon. Feel free to change the proportions to your liking. Cover the oiled pieces with the cinnamon-sugar mixture thickly and over the entire area.
Step 5 - Roll the relatively tight rolls with the filling inward.
Step 6 - Wide "rolls" can be cut in half - baked faster.
Step 7 - Transfer the buns to an oiled pan or to a baking sheet with parchment. Coat the top and sides with butter and dip some in cinnamon sugar for a crisp top. Place freely without pressing against each other. The buns will increase in volume when baked. Place in a pre-heated oven for 20-30 minutes, keep at a temperature of 190 degrees. Do not open the door for the first 15 minutes.
Step 8 - After cooling down, serve not troublesome, but delicious flaky cinnamon rolls for breakfast, afternoon tea, or another tea party.
Bon Appetit!
