Meatballs with rice in tomato sauce are a favorite dish in almost every family around the world. They are prepared in many ways, but today we will cook them in the simplest way - in a frying pan. Options for the perfect side dish for them: boiled rice, mashed potatoes, any pasta, buckwheat or other cereals that your family loves.
Ingredients:
Minced meat - 600 g
Rice - 150 g
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 100 g
Tomato sauce - 5 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Ch.m. pepper - taste
Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
Preparation:
1. Prepare foods on the list. Minced meat is suitable for any, but the tastiest, in my opinion, will be the dish with mixed pork and beef. Peel the onion, peel the carrots. Wash the vegetables under running water and dry.
2. Rinse the rice thoroughly, transfer to a cauldron or stewpan, fill with fresh water in a 1 to 1 ratio. Boil over high heat until half cooked. The water should boil off completely.
3. Cut the onion into small cubes, pour in half of all refined odorless vegetable oil, fry the slices for 3 minutes. Add the carrots grated on a coarse grater. Fry vegetables over medium heat until tender, 3-4 minutes.
4. Load the minced meat, half-cooked rice into a deep bowl, add salt, pepper to taste and half the fried vegetables.
5. Stir all ingredients until smooth.
6. With wet hands, form into balls of the same size minced meat, slightly larger than a walnut. Heat the remaining vegetable oil in a frying pan, put the meatballs in it, fry them on both sides until golden brown.
7. Now add the other half of the fried vegetables, stir gently.
8. Mix your favorite tomato sauce with 400 grams of drinking water.
9. Pour it into the skillet, stir gently, salt and pepper to taste. If you wish, you can add a little sugar, as the gravy will be sour anyway. Cover and simmer the meatballs in the tomato sauce for 10 minutes. Then you can turn them over to the other side so that they cook evenly, then simmer for another 10 minutes.
Serve ready-made meatballs with rice in tomato sauce for the family for lunch or dinner with your favorite side dish.
