Ingredients:

Preparation:

Preference should be given split peas, as it takes less time to prepare.
It is best to soak the peas for a few hours before cooking.

Onion cut into small pieces, three carrots on a medium grater, cut the bacon into small pieces.

Fry bacon on a dry skillet over medium heat.

Add the carrots and onions, fry everything until half.

Optionally, you can add chopped parsnip or parsley root, it will make the soup taste richer.

Potatoes clean, wash and cut into cubes.

Put the sliced ​​potatoes in the broth and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add to the soup roasted vegetables and bacon.
Pepper, salt to taste, cook the soup until the potatoes are cooked.

10 minutes before end of cooking soup put in bay leaf.

Ready soup remove from heat and leave for fifteen minutes.

When serving, sprinkle with chopped herbs.
