Chrysanthemum meat pie will surely become an impressive decoration of the festive table and not only. This is a great way to surprise guests and diversify breakfast, dinner or lunch. It combines the traits loved by many, Italian pizza and Russian dumplings.
With yeast dough and rolled minced meat, making such baked goods becomes even easier. But it is better that these semi-finished products are prepared at home. The pie is very tender and airy, with a fragrant filling and a crispy crust.
Ingredients:
Yeast dough - 800 g
Minced meat - 500 g
Hard cheese - 150 g
Olive oil - 2 tbsp. l.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Garlic - 2 cloves
Salt - 0.33 tsp l.
Ground black pepper - 0.33 tsp l.
Greens - 1 bunch
Egg - 1 pc.
Preparation:
Step 1: You can take any minced meat to your taste (beef, pork, mixed, turkey), but it should contain only twisted meat and nothing else. A bunch of greens - it can be dill, caraway seeds, parsley, or all of them at the same time. Any yeast dough is suitable for pies, but in order not to doubt the choice, you can use the milk dough recipe.
Step 2: Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the hard or semi-hard cheese on a medium grater, finely chop a bunch of greens and garlic with a knife (you can use arrows or a feather).
Step 3: Brown the onions in a preheated pan with 1 tbsp. l. olive oil. You do not need to wait until it cools down, put it on the twisted meat and mix thoroughly.
Step 4: Add grated cheese, chopped garlic and herbs, salt and ground black pepper to the resulting mass. It is better to adjust the amount of salt according to your personal preferences, since there is enough of it in cheeses, in some even too much. Mix the prepared minced meat thoroughly.
Step 5: Roll out the dough into a thin layer (3 mm thick). Cut out the juices by cutting in a round shape or in a stack (diameter 5 cm - the optimal size).
Step 6: Put minced meat on each juicy. Fold in half, make a pinch at the top in the middle (it simplifies the work with molding and the pie petals are prettier - you can compare the finished pie in the photo). Now again in half, connecting the corners together, carefully pinch them.
Step 7: A baking dish (my diameter is 27 cm) grease with the remaining amount of butter (1 tbsp. l.). Put the blanks of chrysanthemum petals in it in a circle, starting along the side.
Step 8: And so circle by circle to the center. The next row should start from the petal laid out in the previous one.
Step 9: Shake the egg and brush over the cake with a cooking brush.
Step 10: Bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 35–40 minutes. Navigate by your oven, external and internal signs of readiness. Cool the finished pie in a mold for 15–20 minutes, covering with a towel.
Step 11: It is not out of place to serve with "Chrysanthemum" slices of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, as well as juicy greens (lettuce, arugula, caraway seeds, Swiss chard).
