Lovers of delicious and hearty food should appreciate this dish. Buckwheat with meat is a classic. They are prepared separately according to standard recipes only. And today I will tell you how to cook buckwheat with meat in one dish - a frying pan.
This dish is prepared according to the pilaf principle with the addition of onions, carrots and spices. The groats are cooked directly with meat and vegetables, soaked in their juice, exchanging tastes and aromas. Any meat will do, I cooked with pork.
Ingredients:
Buckwheat - 1 glass
Meat - 400 g.
Salt to taste
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Seasoning for meat - 1 tsp
Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
Water
Step by step recipe:
1. Prepare the required set of products. You can choose the meat to your taste, beef or pork is perfect. You will also need a 250 ml glass.
2. Wash the meat under cold running water, dry and cut into small pieces.
3. Cut the onion into half rings.
4. Grate the carrots on a medium grater.
5. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry the meat over high heat until golden brown. It should not be completely cooked, the main thing is that a golden crust appears, and all meat juices remain inside.
6. Add chopped vegetables to the meat.
7. Fry them until soft, about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and seasoning for the meat. Pour the contents of the pan with water, about 200 ml will be enough to soften the pork or beef. If you cook with chicken, you will need a little less water.
8. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until the liquid has completely evaporated.
9. Wash the buckwheat to clean water, fold it onto a sieve so that the excess liquid is glass.
10. Check the meat, if it is easily pierced with a knife or fork, you can add buckwheat. If not, add some more water and simmer until desired softness.
11. Smooth the groats and fill them with water in a 1: 2 ratio. Add bay leaves and more salt if needed.
12. Put the skillet over the fire and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat until buckwheat is cooked, about 20-25 minutes.
13. Mix the finished dish gently. Delicious, hearty buckwheat with meat is ready.
Serve hot buckwheat with fresh or pickled vegetables.
