Probably, each of us at least once in our life heard about the benefits of chia seeds. The easiest way to prepare them is with an organic dessert with milk.
I love chia pudding made with regular low-fat cow's milk, but it can also be very helpful to cook it with coconut milk. Anything will suit it from additives - any nuts, fruits, berries, berry or fruit puree, even yogurt.
If you happen to come across this superfood on sale, be sure to buy, cook, and be healthy.
Ingredients:
Chia seeds - 6 tablespoons
Milk 1.5% - 2 glasses
Brown sugar - 1 tbsp
Figs - 2 pcs.
Mint - a few leaves
Preparation:
1. To make a healthy dessert, we need chia seeds, low-fat milk and cane sugar, which you can safely replace with liquid honey or maple syrup. It is believed that the ideal pudding is obtained if you take a glass of liquid, in our case, milk, for three tablespoons of chia seeds. Wash mint and figs under running water, pat dry with paper towels.
2. Place the chia seeds in a deep large bowl and cover them with room temperature milk.
3. Mix thoroughly, they should completely sink in the milk. Add sugar, liquid honey or syrup to taste, let the seeds swell for a while, at least for at least two hours.
4. Over time, they will increase in size, and the consistency of the pudding will become dense and thick. The longer the dessert stays, the thicker and tastier it will become. Many culinary bloggers advise putting chia pudding in the refrigerator overnight and eating it only the next day, but if this is not possible, then two hours is enough.
5. Cut the fruit into slices, wedges or chunks. Arrange them in glasses or any other form for serving desserts, top with chia pudding, garnish with a sprig of mint.
6. You should not put too much pudding in a serving, the seeds are high in calories and it is simply impossible to eat a lot of them.
7. Our healthy organic chia and milk pudding is ready. Serve as a dessert, you can even easily have breakfast.
