Dumplings are one of the favorite dishes in my family. We cook them often, especially on weekends when the whole family gets together.

There are many ways to prepare this dish. Each housewife has her own signature recipe. And what is most interesting is that the filling is practically the same for everyone, but the dough is different. Some knead it in water, others - in kefir or milk. Eggs and vegetable oil are also not found in every recipe.

Today I will tell you how we knead the dough. This is a proven recipe for years, according to which it turns out to be very pliable and soft. It's easy to work with and the dumplings come out incredibly beautiful and neat. You can't pull the ears away from the finished dish! I recommend giving it a try.

Ingredients:

Milk - 1 glass

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Salt - 0.5 tsp

Flour - 2 cups

Step by step recipe:

1. Prepare the food you need. Remove the milk from the refrigerator in advance to bring it to room temperature. Sift the flour. You will also need a 250 ml glass.

2. Pour milk into a deep bowl.

3. Beat in the eggs, add salt and vegetable oil (it will give the dough plasticity, it will be easy to work with).

4. Combine all ingredients with a whisk until smooth.

5. Pour in the sifted flour in portions, stirring the dough all the time. When the whisk stops working, transfer the dough to the table and continue kneading it with your hands.

6. Knead the dumplings dough. It should be cool enough and not stick to your hands.

7. Wrap with cling film and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. During this time, it will become softer and more elastic. Dumplings dough mixed with milk, ready to go. You can start sculpting dumplings.

8. For convenience, divide the dough into several pieces. Roll each of them into a thin layer.

9. Cut out the circles with a small glass or glass. The size of the dumplings will depend on the diameter of the blanks.

10. Place a small amount of minced meat on each circle.

11. Fold the blanks in half, pinch the edges.

12. Boil the dumplings in boiling salted water until tender.

13. Homemade dumplings are always tasty and satisfying. Serve hot with sour cream.
