Sausages in dough can be cooked in batter, puff pastry and yeast dough. I suggest baking them with cheese on yeast dough, which is kneaded with kefir. It is easy to prepare, it turns out not at all capricious, it is suitable for baking buns with sweet and not sweet filling (just add more sugar to the composition). The buns are light and soft for a long time.

Ingredients:

Kefir - 200 ml.

Milk - 80 ml.

Wheat flour - 4 st.

Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.

Sugar - 1 tsp

Salt - a pinch

Dry fast-acting yeast - 1. 5 tsp

Vegetable oil - 40 ml.

Sausages - 14 pcs.

Processed cheese - 14 plst.

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - We prepare the necessary products according to the list. We will need either 14 regular sausages or 28 small ones.

Step 2 - First you need to "revive" the yeast: put the dough so that the dough rises well. We heat water in a saucepan to 40-50 degrees and turn the lid upside down. Stir sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour and yeast in warm milk. We put a bowl of dough on a saucepan with warm water. We cover it with a napkin and wait for half an hour or a little more / less, everything will depend on the quality and freshness of the yeast itself, as well as on the temperature that the pot of water gives. During this time, the dough should increase by 2 times.

Step 3 - Add vegetable oil (not refined), salt, egg and protein to it, leave 1 yolk. Stir in flour gradually.

Step 4 - Do not clog the dough with flour, it should remain soft and stick slightly to your hands. Place it in a bowl on a pot of warm water. Cover with a napkin.

Step 5 - After 40-50 minutes it will increase in volume well. We knead it with our hands and you can start forming the pies.

Step 6 - Free the sausages and cheese from the packaging. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, heat the oven to 180 degrees.

Step 7 - Having greased hands with vegetable oil, divide the dough into 2 parts. From the first half we form a large sausage, divide it into 7 identical parts.

Step 8 - Roll each piece of dough into a long rope, flatten it slightly to form a strip.

Step 9 - Wrap the sausage in cheese.

Step 10 - Wrap the sausage in a spiral with a strip of dough, fix the ends well. You can wrap the buns in a different way, but more beautifully with a spiral.

Step 11 - We do the same with all the sausages. We put the blanks on a baking sheet, grease with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

Step 12 - We put the baking dish in the oven, bake until golden brown. Remove the sausages in the batter on the wire rack to cool and prepare the second batch of pastries with the remaining batter.

We serve delicious sausages in dough with cheese to the table with ketchup or fresh vegetables, or just for tea for breakfast.
