Braised pork in a slow cooker

If you do not have time to prepare a full lunch or dinner, then simply stew the pork in a slow cooker. This “smart” technique will do all the work - all you have to do is cut the food, rinse it and put it in the bowl.

To make the dish more aromatic and juicy, use tomato paste and sour cream-garlic sauce. For lack of the last ingredient, replace it with regular ground dried garlic, or squeeze a couple of peeled garlic cloves through a press into a bowl during the last minutes of cooking.

Ingredients:

Pork ribs - 450 g

Red onion - 1 pc.

Carrots - 2 pcs.

Vegetable oil - 40 ml

Sour cream sauce - 150 ml

Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons

Water - 400 ml

Salt and pepper to taste

How to cook:

1. Prepare the food you need. Choose fatty pork, ideally pork ribs with small layers of bacon.

2. Rinse the ribs in water, cut off the veins and films from them, if any. Cut in portions so that each piece contains a bone and a little bacon. Peel carrots and onions, rinse in water. Set the "Quenching" mode on the multicooker display and pour vegetable oil into the bowl. Turn on the timer for 30 minutes and place the pork ribs in the container. Cut the carrots into slices and add them next to the meat.

3. Cut the onion into half rings. Place the onion slices in a bowl along with the sour cream and garlic sauce.

4. Add tomato paste and salt, ground black pepper to taste. It is permissible to replace the pasta with canned peeled tomatoes or tomato juice.

5. Pour in hot water (preferably boiling water) and close the lid of the equipment, instructing it to continue cooking the dish. When pouring cold water, extend the timer by another 10 minutes to 40 minutes, since it is about 10 minutes that the technician will spend on heating the liquid. If you want to get pork with a thick gravy, then in the last stages of cooking you will need to add contents of a container of 50 ml of water, with wheat flour diluted in it in the amount of 1 tbsp. - such an additive will thicken the dish when warming up.

6. As soon as the beep sounds, the braised pork in a slow cooker will be completely ready.

7. Place the meat in bowls or deep bowls and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.

The prepared dish can be served with any side dish of cereals, pasta or vegetables.
