French pork with tomatoes in the oven

French-style meat turns out to be very tasty, satisfying and aromatic. The dish is so popular and loved that it is prepared at home on weekdays and holidays, served in restaurants. There are several cooking options: with beef, chicken, pork or turkey. Depending on the type of meat used, the baking time also changes.

Potatoes or mushrooms are added to tomatoes and cheese. Today we will cook a classic version of French meat - pork baked with tomatoes and cheese. The recipe contains a minimum of ingredients, but this does not make the dish less tasty.

Ingredients:

Pork - 1200 gr.

Bulb onions - 2 pcs.

Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons

Vegetable oil - 1 tsp

Hard cheese - 150 gr.

Tomatoes - 4 pcs.

Salt and spices to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - We prepare the necessary products according to the list. I take the pork loin for steaks with a small layer of bacon, you can take a chop or a ham. Mayonnaise can be replaced with sour cream, or you can take both in half.

Step 2 - We wash the meat under running water, dry it with a paper towel. Cut into pieces 1.5 centimeters thick. I ended up with 10 steaks, the same size and thickness.

Step 3 - After placing the portioned pieces of meat in cling film and a plastic bag, beat off with a hammer from both sides until they are 5-7 millimeters thick.

Step 4 - Cover the baking dish with foil. Lubricate with vegetable oil.

Step 5 - Place the pieces of meat next to each other.

Step 6 - Three cheese on a medium grater. Cut the peeled onions into thin half rings. We wash the tomatoes, cut out the stalk and chop into slices 0.5 centimeters thick.

Step 7 - Grease the meat with mayonnaise or sour cream. Salt and sprinkle with spices to taste. I took dried coriander and basil.

Step 8 - Next, put the onion on each steak, then the tomatoes.

Step 9 - Sprinkle with cheese. We put the form in a preheated oven to 180 degrees.

Step 10 - Bake 35-40 minutes until golden cheese crust.

French pork in the oven with tomatoes and cheese is ready. Serve immediately, while the hot cheese stretches appetizingly.

Although the dish does not require any additions, if desired, you can serve it with any vegetable side dish and salad.
