Ingredients:

Carrots - 1 pc.

Onions - 1 pc.

Potatoes - 4 pcs.

Meatballs - 250 g

Water - 1.5 l

Salt and pepper to taste

Greens - 0.5 bunch

Bay leaf - 3 pcs.

How to cook:

1. Peel the potato tubers, rinse under running water and cut out any small lesions, if any. Chop the washed root vegetables into medium-sized cubes and place along with the bay leaves in the saucepan / saucepan / cauldron in which you are going to cook the soup.

2. Peel the onions, rinse and chop into small cubes. Place the slices in a container with the potatoes. It is permissible to replace this type of onion with another, for example, red, shallot, green, etc. are suitable.

3. Pour in hot water, leaving at least 5 cm to the edges of the container so that it does not splash out during boiling. Place the pot on the stove and turn on maximum heat. Bring to a boil, remove the resulting foam with a slotted spoon. Reduce heat and cook for about 10-12 minutes.

4. At this time, peel the carrots, rinse them under running water. Grate with coarse or fine mesh. Since children do not welcome this vegetable in soup, it must be chopped as much as possible. Add the carrot mixture to the pot.

5. After the carrots, send the meatballs, you can directly frozen, but one at a time, so that they immediately "seize". At the same time, the broth should boil slightly, but not at the maximum fire, since a very boiling liquid, when the meat balls are immersed in it, will simply turn them back into minced meat.

6. After dipping the last meatball, cook the soup for another 5-7 minutes. Then add chopped, pre-washed dill or parsley. Protome the dish for exactly 1 minute and turn off the heat, let it “reach” for 5 minutes under the lid.

Pour hot children's soup with meatballs into bowls and serve with bread or croutons - as the kids love. You can add a little sour cream to the hot.
