Autumn dessert for kids, sweethearts and pumpkin lovers. Serve warm on its own or with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, and nuts. In addition, baked sweet pumpkin is suitable for filling into thin pancakes, pita bread, bruschetta and toast.

Ingredients:

Pumpkin - 300 g

Butter - 20 g

Sugar - 30 g

Ground cinnamon - 5 g

Walnuts - 20 g

Mint, maple syrup, honey - for serving

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To bake sweet squash in slices, take the foods listed. Dessert can be either lean or flavored with butter, with slices of cheese or cottage cheese. If necessary, use only olive, pumpkin or other vegetable oil - it will come out more ascetic, but also tasty and tender. For a light spicy aroma, this recipe contains cinnamon. Such a sweet dish is often sprinkled with nutmeg, cardamom, and aromatic herbs.

Step 2 - Much depends on the specific variety and ripeness of the pumpkin. The sweeter and juicier, the tastier the dessert. Sometimes there are very dense, watery ones, while the brightness of the color does not always guarantee the saturation of the taste-aroma, the degree of natural sweetness. Therefore, the dosage of granulated sugar and spices varies. First of all, we cut off the hard shell from a clean pumpkin. If necessary, remove seeds or fibrous parts.

Step 3 - Cut the pumpkin pulp into rather thick and large slices. The main thing is that the pieces are the same size as possible. Then the baking will take place evenly.

Step 4 - Put the slices in a heat-resistant container. Sprinkle with sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.

Step 5 - For a delicate texture and a pleasant creamy smell, spread cubes of butter evenly over the pumpkin.

Step 6 - Split two or three walnuts, crush the kernels into crumbs. Sprinkle the workpiece with it. Pour in 3-4 tbsp. l. boiling water. The liquid will prevent vegetables from sticking, burning, additionally steaming and speeding up the softening process. We put the form in a pre-heated oven and bake at a temperature of 190 degrees for 20 minutes. Adjust the degree of charring yourself. Pierce the sweet pumpkin pieces to check the doneness.

Serve the sweet pumpkin baked in the oven warm. Pour with honey and / or maple syrup, decorate with mint branches.
