They are prepared literally in 30 minutes in the presence of an oven, in 2-3 hours in an electric dryer, or cutting black bread can be left overnight - by the morning the slices will become stale and turn into croutons themselves at room temperature temperature.

How to cook:

1. It is advisable to purchase already sliced ​​brown bread so that you do not have to spend time and effort cutting it into even slices. Fortunately, now in any supermarket or convenience store such a product is sold in large quantities and at a low price. It is permissible to purchase a bakery product with any additives: peeled sunflower seeds, walnuts, sesame seeds, caraway seeds, etc.

2. Put each slice of bread on a board and cut into long plates, then divide each plate into small cubes or cubes - as you wish.

3. Transfer everything either to a mold, or to a baking sheet, or to a drier tray. Preheat the oven to 60 degrees and dry the croutons for about 30-40 minutes until completely dry. In an electric dryer, this time can increase up to 2-3 hours, depending on the power of the equipment.

4. Be sure to cool the finished croutons - this will make them crisper. At this stage, they are sprinkled with various seasonings and salt.

5. Transfer them to a paper bag or bread bin and store them for no more than a month to prevent spoilage.

Serve black bread croutons with hot soup, borscht, the second course, or as an independent beer snack. By the way, they make incredibly delicious salads. For example - with slices of sausage, cucumber, hard-boiled chicken eggs and mayonnaise. The main thing is to serve the dish on the table before the croutons swell in it.
