The rich chemical composition and microelements contained in oatmeal contain its many beneficial properties. It is characterized, in contrast to other types of flour, a low starch content and a large amount fatty acids, which, with a rational approach to use, contribute to weight loss, not weight gain. But because of these fats, oat flour has a shorter shelf life and when buying it you should pay for it attention in the first place, because its rancidity will not have the best effect on the taste of the cooked baking. Due to the low level of gluten in this type of flour, the cookies prepared according to this recipe are very crumbly. The pastries have a pleasant characteristic oatmeal flavor with a creamy note.
Ingredients:
Oatmeal flour - 250 g
Wheat flour - 80 g
Baking soda - 0.5 tsp l.
Chicken egg - 2 pcs.
Sugar - 4 tbsp. l.
Butter - 50 g
Sour cream - 1 tbsp. l.
Preparation:
Step 1: Prepare a simple enough set of ingredients for making cookies. Oatmeal can be made at home by grinding Hercules oat flakes.
Step 2: Melt the butter in a microwave oven or on the stove in a saucepan. Add sour cream, granulated sugar and, whisking with a whisk, mix thoroughly until it dissolves. Cool the resulting mass, if suddenly the oil is too hot, otherwise the egg will boil when added.
Step 3: Drive chicken eggs into the warm creamy mass. Stir with a whisk, whisking lightly until smooth. Quench the baking soda with a small amount of vinegar, sufficient to react, add to the creamy egg mixture.
Step 4: Sift both types of flour (oat and wheat) through a sieve, saturating them with oxygen and breaking possible lumps. Pour them into the liquid part and knead a homogeneous dough that does not stick to hands and dishes. Its consistency turns out to be not stringy, but soft and possessing a certain elasticity, capable of keeping the shape given to the dough.
Step 5: Divide the dough into equal small walnut-sized pieces. Roll each of them between your palms into a ball and flatten, giving the shape of a thick coin. Place the blanks on a baking sheet at a distance from each other.
Step 6: Bake them in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 15-20 minutes. It is important to focus on the characteristics of your oven. Finished oatmeal cookies should acquire an appetizing ruddy shade and cracks that give it a special charm. After baking, immediately put it from the baking sheet onto a dish.
Step 7: You can serve ready-made oatmeal cookies with coffee, tea or with dairy drinks that do not contain additives. Milk, kefir, drinking yoghurt or snowball will do.
If desired, you can add dried cherries, cranberries, raisins or nuts in small pieces to the dough.
