Guess who loves cutlets without onions? Of course they are children! It is for them that such a meat dish is prepared without the spicy onion aroma, so that it can be served for lunch or dinner with any chosen side dish of cereals, pasta, boiled or baked vegetables.
Use breadcrumbs for a golden brown finish when searing. In the absence of such a product in the kitchen, use regular premium wheat flour.
Ingredients:
Minced meat - 400 g
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Bread crumbs - 50 g
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Ground black pepper - 4 pinches
Vegetable oil - 50 ml
How to cook:
1. Prepare the food you need. Choose minced meat for the dish with the addition of veal or not too fatty beef, but it is desirable that it contains lard, otherwise the cutlets will turn out to be dryish in taste.
2. Remember that minced meat with the addition of veal emits dirty foam when frying, so either carefully soak such meat in water before chopping, washing out all the blood, or more often change the oil in the pan, removing with it foam flakes.
3. Defrost the minced meat before use (this will take about 30 minutes) if you purchased a frozen product. Place it in a bowl or deep container. Beat in the same chicken egg (if you wish, you can replace with three quail), add salt and ground black pepper. Mix the minced meat thoroughly. You can add some dried spices and herbs, such as ground thyme or rosemary, if children welcome such flavorings in the dish.
4. Pour the breadcrumbs onto a plate or board, form the minced meat into rounded cutlets with your palms dipped in water, and roll them one by one in breadcrumbs on all sides.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add the semi-finished products. Fry over medium heat for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. After turning the cutlets to the other side, cover the container with a lid and steam them so that they do not remain damp inside.
6. Place the minced meat patties on a plate decorated with fresh herbs and serve with sauces such as sour cream or ketchup.
Don't forget the slices of bread and your favorite side dish. If the dish is provided for both children and adults, then for the latter it is permissible to put fried onions in a plate with cutlets - as compensation!
