We can bake stuffed peppers in the oven whole or in halves, and also choose any filling for it to taste. The variant of such a dish with mushrooms is especially tasty and interesting. Instead of minced meat, I add to rice not ordinary champignons, but assorted wild mushrooms. I always have a small supply of frozen mushrooms. For storage, I pre-fry them in oil.

Ingredients:

Sweet peppers - 5 pcs.

Bulb onions - 100 gr.

Mushrooms (any) - 200 gr.

Hard cheese - 120 gr.

Vegetable oil - 50 ml.

Rice - ½ st.

Water - 1 cup

Salt and spices to taste

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - We prepare the necessary products according to the list. If you stuff peppers with fresh mushrooms, peel them first, and then cut into pieces and fry in vegetable oil or lard. You can replace pickled ones, but they will also need to be fried. You may need more or less bell peppers, depending on their size. I have medium sized peppers.

Step 2 - Rinse the rice very thoroughly. Boil it in salted water from the moment it boils for 20 minutes, then drain the remaining liquid. You can also cook rice in a slow cooker. It's very simple: fill the cereal in a bowl with water (for 1 part of rice, I always take 2 parts of water), salt a little, close the lid and cook on the "Rice / buckwheat" mode. Do not open the multicooker until the sound signal.

Step 3 - Peel the onions, rinse and chop finely.

Step 4 - Heat oil in a pan, you can lean or butter. Fry the onion until golden brown, make the fire small, do not forget to stir periodically. If the mushrooms are fresh, then they can be fried along with the onion slices, only by increasing the amount of oil.

Step 5 - Add mushrooms, rice, salt and spices to the finished onion. We mix. The filling for stuffing peppers is ready.

Step 6 - Rinse the peppercorns, cut them lengthwise into halves. We cleanse from seeds and partitions.

Step 7 - Fill with the filling.

Step 8 - Put the halves on a baking sheet covered with foil and send them to a preheated oven to 180 degrees. We bake, tightening the form and on top with foil, first 20 minutes, then remove it and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Step 9 - We bake until the cheese is browned.

The stuffed pepper halves are ready. Serve immediately, while the melted cheese is drawn.
