Today we will prepare a snack that will appeal to both adults and children. Beetroot and carrot caviar is almost universal, as it suits any dish: potatoes, pasta, buckwheat, rice, fish, meat, etc. If you choose delicious sugar beets, they will turn out to be unmatched. In addition to the main ingredient, add some carrots and onions. Caviar, chopped until smooth, can be a great addition to a cup of tea: prepare slices of a ruddy loaf, grease them with oil, put caviar on top - such a sandwich with pleasure eat everything.
Ingredients:
Beets - 2 pcs.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Onions - 1 pc.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
Salt, pepper - to taste
Sugar - 1-2 tsp
Garlic to taste
Water - 80 ml
Description:
1. Collect a range of foods. Prepare the beets first. Choose a few medium sized pieces, then wash them well. You can cook this root vegetable in three ways: in the microwave, bake in the oven, boil on the stove. When baking, add a couple of thyme sprigs to the beets. Depending on the variety and size of the vegetable, the cooking time will fluctuate slightly in each case. Proceed to the further process: select a large head of onion, peel, rinse, dry and cut into small cubes.
2. Peel, wash and dry the carrots too. Rub it with medium shavings, if desired, simply cut into arbitrary segments. Do not worry, the caviar will turn out to be homogeneous, since then it will be ground with a blender.
3. Peel and rinse prepared beets, dry. Grate it similarly to carrots.
4. Heat the oil in a frying pan and unload the carrots and onions. Fry vegetables for the first 3-4 minutes.
5. Then add beet chips here.
6. Add a serving of tomato paste to vegetables. Add salt and pepper, sugar, you can add a few cloves of garlic. Pour in a serving of warm water, stir and leave the pan over low heat. Cook caviar covered for 40 minutes. Glance periodically so that the vegetables do not burn.
7. After a while, grind the fried caviar with a blender. Remove sample, adjust taste.
8. Transfer the beetroot caviar to a suitable bowl / bowl. Now you can serve it with other dishes or make delicious sandwiches with it.
