Cheap fish, but so delicious! Especially if you know how to cook it. I tell you how I bake pollock in the oven with vegetables in tomato sauce. Simply delicious!

Ingredients:

Pollock
Onion
Carrot
Tomato paste
Lemon
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Vegetable oil

To prepare this dish, you can use pollock fillets or carcasses. If you take carcasses, then you need two medium ones. And if you have fillets, then 4-6, depending on the size.

Cut the fish into pieces, remove the fins, dry a little with napkins. Salt a little.

Grate one large carrot, cut one onion and fry in a pan with a little vegetable oil.

Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, 50-70 ml of water and a little lemon juice. Salt to taste, pepper, simmer for 5 minutes.

We take a baking dish, grease the bottom with vegetable oil. We spread half of the vegetable mass, then chopped garlic - 1-2 cloves and pieces of fish.

Put the rest of the stewed vegetables on top, cover the form with foil and put in the oven. We cook pollock at a temperature of 200-220 degrees for about 45 minutes.

If the vegetables start to burn a little during cooking from below, add a little water.

Here's a simple recipe. The fish turns out to be juicy, tender and very tasty! As a side dish, mashed potatoes or just boiled potatoes, buckwheat, rice and anything else are ideal.
