Today I want to bring to your attention a recipe for kefir cakes in the oven. These baked goods make a great snack outdoors, at work or at school. Aromatic spices are added to the dough, which make the cakes even tastier.
It will take 20-25 minutes for kneading and baking. This is very convenient, especially when there is no bread in the house, and you no longer want to go to the store. In this case, cakes can save the situation, because they are prepared from products that can be found in every kitchen. Delicious, simple and very fast. I recommend trying it, I hope many will like it.
Ingredients:
Kefir - 180 ml.
Soda - 1 tsp
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Ground coriander - 0.5 tsp
Thyme - 0.5 tsp
Flour - 200 g.
Step by step recipe:
We will prepare the products according to the list for the recipe. We use the highest grade wheat flour and sift it several times through a fine sieve so that it is saturated with oxygen.
Heat the kefir a little and combine with soda. Mix and leave for 5 minutes. A reaction will take place between the two and foam will appear on the surface.
There is no need to extinguish soda, it is enough to mix it with a fermented milk product. The percentage of kefir in this recipe can be anything, we choose at our discretion.
Add thyme, coriander and a pinch of salt to the liquid. The proposed spices can be adjusted by changing them to more familiar and favorite ones.
Mix thoroughly and add sifted wheat flour.
Knead a soft, slightly sticky dough.
Cover the baking sheet with parchment and turn on the oven. We will heat it up to 200 degrees. Divide the dough into 4 parts and form oval cakes about 0.5 centimeters thick.
Let's send the baking sheet with the blanks to the oven for 7-10 minutes. During this time, the baked goods should be completely cooked and acquire a golden hue.
Kefir cakes are ready. Transfer them to the wire rack and leave to cool completely. Then we will serve.
