Gingerbread with jam on kefir

It often happens that there is a jar of open jam on the shelf of the refrigerator. Nobody wants to eat it, and the hand does not rise to throw it away. In such cases, I propose to prepare a gingerbread with kefir jam. The pastries are simple and uncomplicated, but, despite this, very, very tasty.

Of course, such a cake is unlikely to be suitable for a festive table, but for a family tea party - what you need. I recommend trying it!

Ingredients:

Jam - 1 glass

Kefir - 1 glass

Sugar - 0.5 cups

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Soda - 1 tsp

Wheat flour - 2 cups

Prepare the required set of ingredients. It will be great if jam pick up with a little sourness. You will also need a 20x20 cm form, parchment paper and a 250 ml measuring cup.

Pour the jam into a deep bowl in which it will be convenient to knead the dough.

Add baking soda and mix thoroughly. The mass in front of our eyes will begin to foam and increase in volume.

Then add eggs, warm kefir and sugar. Stir with a whisk or use a mixer. You do not need to beat until fluffy, the main thing is that all the ingredients are combined with each other, and the sugar melted.

Add the sifted flour and stir again. The dough should be smooth and smooth, like thick sour cream in consistency.

Cover the ovenproof dish with parchment and pour over the dough. Smooth the surface with a silicone spatula.

Send the piece to the oven and bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees until a beautiful ruddy color. Then pierce in the center with a wooden skewer and check that there are no traces of dough on it. If the stick is dry, the pie is ready.

A soft, porous and aromatic rug with kefir jam. Transfer it to a wire rack and let cool completely. Then cut into portions and invite everyone to the tasting.

Serve the gingerbread with a cup of herbal tea or milk.
