French beef meat in a pan

There are many options for preparing meat in French. Of course, this dish has nothing to do with French cuisine and its people, and this name appeared much later, and it seems to be due to the presence of mayonnaise in it. To date, the dish has changed a lot in composition and method of preparation, so we will now cook its already modern and quick version - in a pan.

Ingredients:

Beef - 400 g

Onions - 100 g

Hard cheese - 100 g

Mayonnaise - 2 tsp

Champignons - 30 g

Sea salt - to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Lean oil - 1 tsp

How to cook:

Prepare foods on the list. For a quick version of French meat in a frying pan, we need good quality beef with small flecks of fat, it cooks faster.

Peel the onion, wash it together with the mushrooms under running water, pat dry with paper towels.

Pour some vegetable oil into a large skillet with a quality Teflon coating, use a silicone brush to brush the entire bottom with it.

Put the beef on a cutting board, cover with cling film, beat off thinly with a special hammer. The thinner the meat is beaten, the faster it will fry. Place the beef chops in the skillet and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Brush each piece with a thin layer of your favorite low-fat mayonnaise. Put chopped onions on top (there should be a lot of them).

Cut the mushrooms into thin slices, spread them in one layer on both pieces of meat.

Then grate hard cheese on a coarse grater, which melts well at high temperature. Sprinkle it generously on both pieces of beef.

Place the pan on the stove, turn it on to the maximum.

Fry the meat over high heat for 5 minutes. When the bottom is browned and the cheese is already melting, turn the heat down.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook the beef under the "fur coat" for about 15 minutes. If necessary, the fire can be reduced to minimum.

After a while, remove the finished French-style beef from the pan, arrange in portions, if desired, you can sprinkle it with leaves of fresh herbs.

Serve meat with your loved one garnish. Buckwheat, rice, mashed potatoes or pasta go perfectly with it. It will be just as great with fresh vegetable salad or home pickles.
