Filled tortilla is a simple and delicious snack for every day. Tortilla is a Mexican thin flatbread. Traditionally, meat, vegetables, cheese are wrapped in it, or simply used instead of bread. Here you can buy such cakes in large supermarkets. But, if you still haven't found a tortilla, then it can be easily replaced with thin pita bread.
Tortilla is great for creating delicious snacks for every day. A stuffed tortilla can be prepared for breakfast, taken for a snack to work or on the road, and it is just right for a picnic. You can also give it to children in school, they love such a snack.
We will fill the tortilla with chicken, cheese and egg, but you can experiment with the fillings to your liking.

Ingredients:

  • boiled chicken fillet - 300 g
  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • cheese - 100 g
  • tortilla - 16 pcs. (or thin pita bread)
  • butter - 30 g
  • parsley - bunch
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe

1. First, let's prepare the filling.
Cut 300 g of boiled chicken fillet into small cubes.
Three 100 g of cheese on a coarse grater.

2. Finely chop a bunch of fresh parsley.

3. Let's prepare scrambled eggs for the filling.
Break 4 eggs into a bowl. Salt the eggs to taste and pepper. Mix everything with a whisk or fork until smooth, but do not beat.

4. Put a piece of butter in a preheated pan. Pour prepared eggs here.

5. Constantly stirring the eggs with a spatula, we bring them to a state where all the liquid thickens.

6. Turn off the gas, and add chopped chicken and parsley to the pan. We mix everything. The filling is ready.

7. We take a tortilla - this is a thin tortilla for tacos, and heat it up in a pan so that it becomes more plastic and bends well.

8. Quickly put the warm tortilla on the board and immediately spread the filling with eggs and meat on it. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top.

9. We fold the flat cake on all sides with a square envelope. We put it with the folds down. It will cool down and keep its shape.
So we stuff all the cakes. This amount of filling is enough for 16 cakes.

10. Fry the finished cakes in a pan with a small amount of butter or vegetable oil. Fry on both sides so that everything warms up well and the cheese melts.

The stuffed tortilla can be served hot or cold. This appetizer turned out to be very tasty, satisfying and it is not at all difficult to prepare it.
You can cook a lot of such a snack and freeze it for good, and when necessary, take it out of the freezer and immediately heat it in a pan.
