Stewed potatoes with mushrooms are an everyday dish for a family dinner or lunch. It can be served separately or as a side dish for meat. It is allowed to stew potatoes with mushrooms in a saucepan, pot or slow cooker. Regardless of the cooking method, the mushrooms should first be fried with vegetables in a pan, and then simmer with potatoes until soft. This is the secret of the juiciness of this dish.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 600 gr.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Champignons - 300 gr.

Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.

Salt, ground pepper - to taste

Hops-suneli - 1 tsp

Ground garlic - 1 tsp

Parsley - 20 gr.

Water - 800 ml.

Prepare food.

Peel carrots and onions from the top layer. Wash them under running water. Chop the carrots into triangular slices, chop the onion into squares. If desired, you can use another method of shredding, such as grating the carrots.

Place a frying pan on the burner, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in it, then lower the cutting of vegetables. Fry until soft, stirring occasionally. This will take approximately 3 minutes.

Prepare the mushrooms in parallel - wash thoroughly under running water, dry a little on a towel, cut into large segments.

Place the mushrooms in the skillet. At this point, add another spoonful of oil, since all the poured in earlier will be absorbed by the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook everything together over medium heat for the next 5 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula. After a while, the mushrooms will decrease in size, and the mushroom juice will evaporate.

Remove the skin from the potatoes. Wash the tubers intensively, then cut into small cubes or cubes of medium size, load into a saucepan.

Transfer the contents of the pan to the potatoes, stir.

Next, fill the mixture with water in the indicated volume. Pour in the suneli hops, ground garlic and pepper. Add salt to taste.

When it boils, reduce the heat to minimum, cover the pan with a lid. Simmer for 30 minutes. Depending on the potato variety, the cooking period will vary slightly in each case.

Be sure to sample during the braising process to adjust the flavor. The thickness of the dish can also be adjusted by adding hot water if necessary.
