Hearty and delicious pilaf can be cooked not only in a saucepan or cauldron on the stove, but also in an oven in heat-resistant dishes. I offer a recipe for delicious and bright, thanks to turmeric, pilaf in the oven with pork. The cooking technology is quite simple. All ingredients are pre-browned in a frying pan and only then baked. Aromatic rice with slices of tender meat will surely be appreciated by all household members. Ingredients:
Pork - 300 g
Carrots - 1 pc.
Bulb onions - 1 pc.
Rice - 1 glass
Water - 2 glasses
Garlic - 3 cloves
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Barberry - 0.5 tsp
Dried vegetables - 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Vegetable oil - 50 g
Step by step recipe:
Check the ingredients list and prepare them. Pork is suitable for both lean and fatty. It is advisable to buy long-grain rice, steamed rice has proved to be excellent. Ready-made pilaf from such cereals is very crumbly. Use spices to your liking.
Be sure to rinse fresh meat well with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut into small random pieces.
Pour unscented oil into a deep frying pan. Heat it well. Lay out the meat pieces. Fry until golden brown over high heat.
Find a deep shape that suits your needs. Transfer the fried pork to it.
The next step is preparing the vegetables. They also need to be fried. Peel carrots and onions. Rinse and pat dry with a towel. Cut the carrots into small pieces, the onion into any pieces.
Add a little more oil to the same pan and heat well. Move the chopped vegetables. Fry for 5-6 minutes over moderate heat until soft.
Spread the fried vegetable mix in a mold on the meat layer.
When using parboiled rice, it does not need to be rinsed. Other varieties, on the other hand, require rinsing until transparent. Spread the rice grains over the toasted vegetables.
Pour boiling water into a deep bowl. Add spices. Salt to taste and season with ground pepper. Stir.
Gently pour the flavored salted water into the mold. The liquid level above the rice should be above 1.5-2 cm. Top with dried barberry and washed unpeeled garlic cloves. The garlic can be peeled if desired.
Cover the tin with foil. Turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 degrees. Send the rice dish to bake for 50-60 minutes. The baking time depends on the power of the oven.
Pork pilaf is ready.
Stir well before serving.
Serve the pilaf hot, ideally with fresh or pickled vegetables. Sprinkle with chopped herbs if desired.
