The variety of rice can be any: round-grain, long, brown, etc., the main thing is to read the recommendations for cooking the product on the packaging, since sometimes the cereal can already be steamed.

Since the ripening times are different for corn and green peas, it is best to purchase frozen legumes. They are sold in any supermarket or store, in the freezer department. When cooking a dish, you are free to add any spices, seasonings and spices. Such boiled rice will be especially tasty with saffron, turmeric or ground paprika.

Rice - 150 g

Water - 350 ml

Corn - 100 g

Green peas - 100 g

Salt and pepper to taste

Pour the rice into a deep container, fill it with tap water and rinse thoroughly. Drain and draw up again, rinsing until clear. It is imperative to wash all the starch out of the cereal, otherwise the cooked dish will taste bitter.

Pour the washed cereal into a cauldron or ladle with a non-stick bottom, a saucepan. Add frozen corn kernels and green peas there, add salt and mix everything thoroughly.

Pour hot water into the container and place on the stove, turning on maximum heat. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 15 minutes with a lid on the pot. If the cereal was sold steamed, then it will take less time to prepare it - about 10 minutes.

After the specified time, turn off the heating, cover the container with a lid. Let the porridge simmer for about 10 minutes. Then remove the lid - the dish will be completely ready!
