Let's prepare a budget meal today. In principle, cabbage can be stewed with any meat and even semi-finished meat products, as well as with various vegetables and spices. Each recipe is good in its own way.

Today I propose to cook stewed cabbage with chicken in a slow cooker. It's not only easy, but it will also save our time. Still, a wonderful slow cooker - I laid all the products, installed the program and you can calmly go about your business, not worrying that something might burn or boil. The technique will cook it right. The vegetables will not boil over and the meat will remain juicy, I think this is one of the most important advantages of a multicooker.

So, let's start preparing a hearty and tasty dish for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients:

White cabbage - 1 kg

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Chicken fillet - 500 grams

Tomato paste - 1 tbsp

Boiled water - 150 ml.

Dried dill - ½ tsp

Ground coriander - 1 pinch

Ground black pepper - 1 pinch

Bay leaf - 2 pcs.

Sugar - 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Green onions - 2 feathers

Step by step recipe:

 Step 1 of 11
Step 1 of 11

Prepare all the required ingredients according to the list. I used chicken breast, which can be replaced with any chicken part.

I took the standard vegetables - onions and carrots. Regular tomato paste can be replaced in season with fresh tomatoes. From vegetables, I would add more fresh mushrooms, it will be more aromatic.

A set of spices for your taste, but I really liked the combination of dried dill and ground coriander, in my opinion, they go very well with cabbage.

Step 2 of 11
Step 2 of 11

Rinse and dry the chicken fillet, remove all unnecessary and cut the pulp into thin strips.

Step 3 of 11
Step 3 of 11

Chop the onion into thin half rings, grate the carrots on a medium grater.

Step 4 of 11
Step 4 of 11

Peel the cabbage from the top leaves, divide the head of cabbage in half and cut into thin strips.

Step 5 of 11
Step 5 of 11

Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, put onions and carrots. Set the "Fry" program for 15 minutes. Roast vegetables for 5 minutes.

What else I like to cook in a multicooker is that you can hardly use vegetable oil or pour in a very small amount - this significantly reduces the calorie content of the finished dish.

Step 6 of 11
Step 6 of 11

Add chicken to lightly fried vegetables and cook for another 5-7 minutes. The fillet will turn white - that's enough, you don't need to fry it.

Step 7 of 11
Step 7 of 11

Add tomato paste and cook on the same setting for about 3 minutes.

Switch the multicooker to the Stew program, set 1 hour. Add cabbage and spices to the bowl for vegetables and chicken.

Step 9 of 11
Step 9 of 11

Pour in water.

Step 10 of 11
Step 10 of 11

Stir and cook until the beep is done. If, when opening the lid, you notice that the cabbage is damp, then extend the stewing time by another 20 minutes. It depends on the type of vegetable you choose or on the multicooker itself.

Step 11 of 11

The stewed cabbage with chicken is ready. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with finely chopped green onions and garlic if desired.
