I offer the recipe for this soup, first of all, to the fair half. The beach season is very soon and most of us go on various weight loss diets to be fully prepared in the summer;) Soup with lentils and chicken are very simple and quick to prepare, and also quite tasty, which is important, moreover, it is low in calories and useful. Ingredients:

Red lentils - 150 g

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Petioled celery - 80 g

Champignons - 150 g

Lean oil - 1 tablespoon

Sea salt - to taste

Ground pepper - to taste

Chicken fillet - 200 g

Parsley - 10 g

Tomato - 1 pc.

Water - 1.5 l

How to cook:

Prepare all food. The quantity is indicated for a 2 liter saucepan.

Peel the onions and carrots, wash together with the rest of the vegetables and chicken fillet under running water. Rinse the lentils thoroughly several times.

Pour a minimum amount of lean refined oil into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Heat over medium heat, put chopped onions, celery and carrots inside. Saute the vegetables for a few minutes until tender.

Add the mushrooms cut into quarters. Fry everything together for another minute or two.

Then add the washed red lentils. Stir and pour in one and a half liters of hot water. As soon as it boils, remove all foam from the surface of the broth, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and cook the soup for 10 minutes.

After a while, cut the chicken fillet into small cubes or a thin block, transfer to a saucepan. Cook for another 10 minutes. The thing is, red lentils cook very quickly, so make sure they don't completely boil over and your soup doesn't turn into a puree.

Five minutes after adding the chicken, place the diced tomato in the broth.

After the time has elapsed, salt and pepper the soup, remove the remaining foam. Chop fresh parsley finely with a sharp knife, add to a saucepan, stir and immediately turn off the stove. Cover the container with a lid, let the dish sit for 10-15 minutes before serving so that all the flavors are mixed.

Pour the prepared red lentil and chicken soup into portions. Serve with rice or rye bread.
