A fragrant puff pastry pie with apples can seduce all those with a sweet tooth by serving it for dessert after main courses along with a cup of delicious tea or coffee. It is prepared in literally 30 minutes if you have frozen yeast-free puff pastry available. Such a semi-finished product is sold in any store, but before cooking it should be thawed at room temperature for 1-1.5 hours. To get a crispy crust on the pie, roll out the dough after defrosting perfectly thin and cut into layers.

The variety of apples does not play a special role, but sweet and sour fruits will give baked goods both sweetness and slight sourness. The filling can be created both from cream with a fat content of not more than 35%, and from high-quality sour cream. The shape is 24 cm in diameter.

Ingredients:

Puff pastry - 0.5 kg

Apples - 3 pcs.

Sugar - 0.5 tbsp.

Salt - 2 pinches

Cream 15% - 1 tbsp

Thickener for cream (powder in package) - 2 pcs.

Chicken egg - 1 pc.

Ground cinnamon - 2 pinches

Prepare food.

Rinse the apples in water and peel them. Cut in half and cut the seed pods. Rinse the peeled pulp and cut into slices in a deep bowl.

Pour cream (or sour cream) there, add granulated sugar and salt, thickener powder. Beat in a chicken egg next. Mix thoroughly for 4-5 minutes to combine all ingredients.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees - the pie is placed in a hot oven.

Put the rolled puff pastry in a mold, going into the sides. You do not need to lubricate it with anything, since the semi-finished product already contains fat. Place the cooked apple filling in the middle and smooth out slightly.

Place the mold in the oven for 25-30 minutes. While baking, watch the surface of the cake - it should be completely browned, and the creamy mass should thicken. Do not increase the temperature in the appliance, as the edges of the pastry may burn, and the filling will remain moist.

As soon as the layer cake turns golden and the unforgettable apple flavor floats through the kitchen, remove the pan from the oven.

Sprinkle the baked goods with ground cinnamon and be sure to cool. It is advisable to do this in the cold for an hour, otherwise the hot filling will spread. The delicacy is cut only well chilled!
