Blackcurrant jelly

Admin

Fragrant and colorful blackcurrant jelly is not only a delicious dessert, but also a very healthy delicacy, because such a berry contains vitamin C. To create it, you do not need much time, literally 20 minutes, but during the period of solidification you will have to be patient - it will take at least 1-2 hours. However, the solidification time may also depend on the gelatin, or rather, its quality. Since the expired product will not gel the dessert and it will resemble a thick jelly mass - carefully check the expiration date!

You can use both fresh and frozen black currants to create a treat, which is sold in any supermarket. Even currant jam or preserves are perfect - in this case, you will not even need to add granulated sugar, because it will already be contained in sweet preservation.

Pour in warm water and place the container on the stove, turning on maximum heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer everything for 15 minutes.

The berries must give their color, aroma and taste to the liquid. As soon as this happens and they all completely burst, become soft - turn off the heating.

Strain everything through a strainer into a deep bowl or salad bowl, or another container. Cool to 80 degrees and pour gelatin into the liquid, stir thoroughly and leave for 5 minutes to swell.

Then stir again, lifting the swollen gelatin powder from the bottom with a whisk or fork. Stir in until it is completely dissolved.

Pour the liquid into portioned bowls / glasses / cups. Place them in the refrigerator or put them out in the cold for 1-2 hours.

If you need dessert urgently, put the containers with liquid in the freezer for 20-30 minutes, the main thing - do not forget them there, otherwise the jelly will freeze and become liquid when defrosted.
