Charlotte is a pie that is a frequent guest on our table. After all, it is impossible not to love him. Lush crumb, light sugar crust and fragrant fruits combine to give an excellent result. I also like this pastry because each time you can get new flavors by choosing different berries or fruits for the cake.

Today I propose to bake a charlotte with apples and bananas. Everyone, without exception, will be satisfied with the result. The delicate banana flavor is perfectly emphasized by juicy apples and vanilla aroma. I recommend trying it!

Ingredients:

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Sugar - 1 glass

Wheat flour - 1 glass

Vanilla sugar - 1 tablespoon

Baking powder - 1 tsp

Banana - 1 pc.

Apple - 1 pc.

We will prepare the products according to the list for the recipe. We also need a heat-resistant form with a diameter of 18 cm, parchment paper and a 200 ml measuring cup.

In a deep, easy-to-beat bowl, beat in the eggs.

Add plain and vanilla sugar and start whisking. It is best to use a mixer, although a whisk can easily handle this task, it just takes a little more time and effort. Beat until the mass turns white and increases in volume.

Then add the sifted wheat flour and baking powder.

Mix again, trying to bring the dough to a uniform consistency.

Cover the bottom of the split form with parchment, and grease the sides with a thin layer of butter. Pour out some of the prepared dough. Put banana circles and thin slices of peeled apple on top of it.

Then distribute the remaining dough and flatten it carefully.

We bake charlotte for 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. The door must not be opened during cooking, otherwise the dough will settle and the cake will not turn out as fluffy as we would like.

We take the finished baked goods out of the mold and cool on a wire rack so that the bottom does not get wet.

This cake is good in itself, but, if desired, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar or garnish with fresh fruit. And, of course, don't forget about a cup of aromatic herbal tea.
