Cookies "Houndstooth" can be made from different doughs, today I propose to bake from cottage cheese. It has a pleasant creamy aroma, typical for baked goods made from fermented milk products. Whatever you drink (fruit drinks, tea, cocoa, milk), it's delicious with all the drinks. It is also convenient to take such cookies on the road, for a walk or to school.

Ingredients:

Flour - about 180 g

Cottage cheese - 200 g

Butter - 2 tablespoons l.

Egg - 1 pc.

Sugar - 80 g

Baking powder - 5 g

Salt - 2 g

To make Hound's Feet Curd Biscuits, take the food listed. Sometimes they additionally enhance the flavor with vanilla sugar, ground cinnamon or other spices, but I prefer pure cottage cheese dough.

With any composition (be it shortbread, cottage cheese, chopped dough), these cookies are distinguished by molding - a multilayer triangle is folded from a circle and outwardly the products resemble crow's feet.

Combine cottage cheese, egg and sugar (about 40-50 g) in a working bowl first, as well as a small pinch of salt. If the cottage cheese, like mine, is granular (grained), then it is better to grind it first. Then the dough is easier to knead. And the structure seems more homogeneous (with small inclusions). Squeeze through a sieve or use a blender.

Dissolve the butter, cool slightly (until warm). Pour over the sweet curd mass and stir.

By replacing butter with margarine, you can save money, but the products will give way in taste.

Mix about 100 g of flour with baking powder.

Then we add the curd composition. Knead, adding additional flour.

We get a soft, pliable dough from cottage cheese.

We roll out a thin layer, cut out circles - the diameter is at your discretion. Bigger diameter, fewer products.

We fold the halves in half again. Press the corners with your fingers so that when baking the workpieces they hold the configuration. For a crispy crust, lightly grease on top with water and dip in sugar.

We transfer the cookies to parchment or a heat-resistant container dusted with flour. We bake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
