Many people bake eggplants in a fan in the oven or on the grill, along with tomatoes, cheese and mayonnaise. The dish is noteworthy, satisfying, but for some it is too high in calories and fatty. I offer no less appetizing, yet delicate option. It contains only eggplant, garlic and spices. The appetizer is equally tasty both hot and cooled. Perfect as a side dish for barbecue, any meat and fish.

Ingredients:

Eggplant - 1 pc.

Garlic - 2 teeth

Vegetable oil - 30 ml

Soy sauce - 50 ml

Hot pepper, salt - to taste

If you decide to bake eggplants in a fan in the oven, take the foods on the list. For fans of radical pungency, I advise you to add hot pepper, and for supporters of moderate harshness - remove garlic to a minimum or replace the cloves with dried / granulated.

When serving, there are ways to further flavor the dish. Sprinkle with herbs (fresh and dry ground), sprinkle with wine vinegar or lemon juice.

First, we wash the blue one under cold water, shake it off or wipe it off with a towel and cut it in the middle with a sharp knife. We divide into two equal and longitudinal parts. If the vegetables are small, count on at least 2 halves per serving.

Now we lay the blanks with a cut, that is, with the pulp, down - not reaching the edge with a tail, we carry it with a knife 4-5 times, cut into strips of approximately the same thickness.

Place in a convenient container and pour over soy sauce. Rub lightly into all areas. If time permits, leave to marinate. But, it should be noted that the eggplant pulp instantly, like a sponge, absorbs liquid and is filled with odors. For low-salt soy sauce, add salt as well. We also pepper.

Press the garlic through a press, partially hammer it between the bars.

Now we put in a well-oiled frying pan / mold with the slices up and put in a hot oven for 30 minutes. We bake eggplants without cheese and tomatoes at 180 degrees.

Transfer to a flat plate. Decorate with herbs and serve the eggplant in a fan to the table.
