Cod is a very tasty, healthy and low-calorie fish. But cooking it well is not easy enough, because it often turns out to be dry, especially in the oven. Now I will show you the simplest version of its preparation, which you will fall in love with from the first spoon.

You can serve this delicious fish with mashed potatoes, just boiled potato slices or with rice. With the listed side dishes, baked cod is best combined to taste.

Ingredients:

Cod - 800 g

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Carrots - 2 pcs.

Lean oil - 2 tablespoons

Vinegar 6% or lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Salt to taste

Ch.m. pepper - taste

Hard cheese - 100 g

Prepare all the necessary foods from the list. Peel and wash onions and carrots. Defrost the fish in advance. This time I came across a cod without skin, but if in your case it is present, then it is not necessary to remove it.

Clean the fish from the remnants of the entrails, remove the black film inside the abdomen. Cut the cod into slices about 2 centimeters thick. Place in a lightly buttered baking sheet.

Cod is tasteless on its own, and the vegetables you bake it with are sweet, so balance the flavors. Season the fish with salt, pepper and pour lightly with vinegar or lemon juice. Leave to marinate for 10 minutes.

While the fish is marinating, fry the vegetables. Cut the onion into half rings, fry it in a small amount of refined lean oil until soft. Add the grated carrots. Fry over medium heat for another 3-4 minutes.

Put the fried vegetables on top of the fish, send them to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. During baking, juice will stand out from the cod and it will be stewed in it until tender.

Remove the fish from the oven, sprinkle it with grated hard cheese, which melts well at high temperatures, and return it for another 10 minutes.

Serve cod baked in the oven with vegetables and cheese with your loved one garnish and home pickles. Delicious, juicy fish is ready.
