"Man's Caprice" salad with beef

Many of us have repeatedly prepared the "Men's Caprice" salad, which is so loved by the strong half of humanity for its unpretentiousness and simplicity. This juicy meat appetizer contains a minimum of ingredients, but it is so relevant for men that none of them can refuse a serving or two.

Boiled beef, pickled onions, mayonnaise and cheese are the main ingredients of the dish, but chicken eggs are added to it exclusively for satiety. Moreover, the salad is ideal for a festive table and for serving on weekdays. The main thing is to boil the meat in advance for 1.5 hours, since the beef needs time to soften, and marinate the onion slices for 30 minutes. You can use regular onions or shallots, but if you are lucky enough to purchase a white variety of such a vegetable, then the dish will only benefit in taste - there will be no harsh bitterness in it.

It is permissible to purchase mayonnaise both fat and lean, or even better - create it at home according to one of the recipes on our website. If possible, purchase the sauce in a soft bag so that you can apply the mesh to the layers of the salad.

Ingredients:

Boiled beef - 120 g

Chicken egg (boiled) - 1 pc.

Hard cheese - 60 g

Bulb onion - 1 pc. (average)

Table vinegar - 2 tablespoons

Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare food.

Peel the onions, rinse and cut into half rings or small cubes. Send the slices to a bowl or salad bowl, cover with vinegar and salt. Leave for 20-30 minutes for marinating, after a while strain from the marinade. Vinegar will draw out bitterness from the onion slices, leaving only a piquant aroma and taste.

Place a culinary ring or square on a plate with pickled onions in it. Brush with mayonnaise on top.

Disassemble the boiled beef with your hands into fibers and put it on a layer of onions. Season with salt and pepper, brush with mayonnaise.

Peel the boiled chicken egg from the shell, rinse it in water and grate it on a fine mesh grater. Transfer the egg mass to a container. Brush with sauce.

The last layer is cheesy. Grind any kind of hard cheese on a fine mesh grater and sprinkle it on top of the dish.

Gently remove the cooking ring or square. Decorate the salad to your liking, such as fresh herbs. Serve immediately or chill before serving in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
